Denver Area Educational Telecommunications Consortium (doing business as Voqal Denver) is a nonprofit corporation that got its start transmitting educational video programs to schools in the mid-80s using frequencies regulated by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). In early 2013, Denver Area Educational Telecommunications Consortium joined four other like-minded nonprofit entities under the single brand Voqal. Today, Voqal Denver continues to provide services to schools and nonprofits nationwide, engage in philanthropic programs centered on social equality, and participate in other entrepreneurial endeavors.
